Lose Your Love Handles with SculpSure

Does one of your resolutions include slimming down or fitting back into old clothes? If so, SculpSure®, a non-invasive fat reduction procedure, can help you stick to that resolution.

Sometimes diet and exercise don’t result in your clothes looking better on you. Even though you may have lost the pounds — and you have reached a healthy weight — you may still have bulges or rolls on your sides, thighs, belly, and arms that frustratingly don’t go away with diet and exercise.

If your love handles, also called flanks, are making it difficult to fit into your jeans or — even worse — hanging over the sides of your jeans like, well, handles, a SculpSure session or two can help shrink them so your fitted clothes look better on you.

What’s so bad about love handles?

Love handles are fat bulges that extend outward from your hips. The popularity of skinny and low-rise jeans make love handles the enemy of fashion. Diet and exercise can help you look and feel better, but it generally can’t reduce fat in any one area.

So even if you lose weight, your love handles may not shrink as much as you’d like them to. Unfortunately, the fat pockets that make up your love handles are often the last place to disappear.

How can SculpSure help make love handles go away?

SculpSure is an FDA-cleared laser treatment that can target specific areas of fat. The technology heats up and destroys unwanted fat cells in particular areas without harming surrounding cells. One treatment takes about 25 minutes to attack 24% of fat cells and can target multiple areas. Most people undergo about two to three treatments to get their desired outcome.

One of the areas that SculpSure is often used is on those hard-to-remove love handles. Full results take about 12 weeks to show but most people start to see their love handles shrink within six weeks. (Note: Make your appointment now to look better in a swimsuit by summer.)

What happens during and after a SculpSure treatment?

The treatment uses heat but also a cooling system to make the procedure comfortable. During the procedure, you may feel a tingling or warming sensation. Most people find the treatment relatively pain-free with minimal discomfort. Some even find it relaxing and use the time to check emails, send texts, or read a book.

After the treatment, there’s no downtime. This means you can return to your normal daily activities. Some people even schedule a SculpSure appointment during their lunch hour.

Side effects include soreness, redness, bruising, or swelling in the treatment area. In the majority of cases, these issues resolve themselves within a few hours.

The fat cells destroyed during the SculpSure procedure do not come back. Those fat cells are gone permanently once your lymphatic system flushes them from your body. But existing fat cells can grow larger if you don’t watch your diet and exercise. SculpSure is ideal for people who want to have a slimmer figure but don’t want to undergo costly surgery with significant downtime.
