Afterward, Dr. Saal applies a special lotion to your skin. The lotion moisturizes and soothes the treatment site while also promoting cell regeneration.

What is recovery like after radiofrequency microneedling?

After radiofrequency microneedling, it’s normal for your skin to feel warm and itchy. Take it easy for the rest of the day, and apply ice packs to your skin to prevent swelling.

Try to avoid direct sunlight for at least a week, but if you need to go outside, apply sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF). Dr. Saal may prescribe antibiotic creams or ointments to encourage your body’s healing process. Use these medications only as directed.
